IT Procurement Business Partner

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced procurement expert to join a global, market leading services organisation. In this role, your expertise in public sector IT procurement will be instrumental in driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic supplier relationships.

As a Procurement Business Partner, your focus will primarily revolve around IT-related categories, ensuring efficient procurement practices and strategic supplier management within the public sector landscape.

In order to succeed in this role and deliver benefits, you will need a strategic mindset but also be keen to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.

Responsibilities:

· Own and develop procurement strategy for the IT category whilst driving continuous improvements.

  • Manage the appointment of IT suppliers through rigorous sourcing processes, leveraging eSourcing tools as needed.
  • Conduct regular reviews, re-negotiations, or sourcing new suppliers to maintain competitiveness and maximize value for money through the exploitation of price review clauses.
  • Provide valuable insights to stakeholders and the wider business regarding supplier and procurement risks at all stages of supplier engagement.
  • Develop, improve and implement supplier relationship strategies
  • Develop and lead any team members under responsibility
  • Proven experience in cultivating positive stakeholder relationships that enhance procurement's value to the business while ensuring compliance with public sector procurement practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT, Technology or/and Professional Services category experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering benefits with hard results whether costs, or service delivery improvement.
  • Have the confidence to challenge stakeholders or the client when improvement opportunities are identified.
  • Worked at a strategic procurement level, with a forward thinking mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage, develop, and inspire team members and business colleagues.
  • MCIPS or Degree educated desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to client locations as necessary.

Please note: This role does require security clearance.

This role is located near Luton, and you will be expected to be onsite once a week with travel to suppliers / stakeholders as per business needs.

For the successful person, this role offers up to £70,000 + benefits including car allowance and private health.
